Junior Accountant

General Description
The Junior Accountant assists in accounts payable, accounts receivables, and monthly closing procedures, and preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate is about to graduate or recently graduated with a bachelors degree in accounting. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and in a team setting in a fast-paced office environment.
Essential Job Function:
  • Process and pay invoices
  • Deposits and process payments received from tenants
  • Prepares and mails billing statements
  • Prepares bank reconciliations, sales tax submissions, and other related functions
  • Maintains rent rolls for all assigned properties
  • Prepares adjustments and journal entries
  • Prepares and maintains accurate and timely financial statements
  • Assists in preparation of reconciliations and research projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting a must (graduated or near graduation)
  • 1-2 years experience a plus
  • Proficient in excel
  • Must have willingness to work and learn in a fast paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented, have the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and be able to meet deadlines within determined timeframes
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

Reconciliations and Budgets Analyst

Reports To
SVP, Dispositions and Asset Management
General Description
The Reconciliation and Budgets Analyst works as part of our Reconciliations & Budgeting team to complete Reconciliations and Budgets for the year. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and in a team setting in a fast-paced office environment.
Essential Job Function:
  • Review and abstract leases in an accurate and meticulous manner
  • Prepares Annual Reconciliations for Tenants
  • Prepares Annual Budgets for Properties
  • Asists in tenant audits or reviews of reconciliations
  • Assists in research projects
  • Ad-hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications
  • 1+ years experience working with Real Estate Commerical Leases and reconciliations
  • South Florida candidates only
  • Must be detail-oriented, have the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and be to meet deadlines within determined timeframes
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
